Leanne Dixon (She/Her)

Hi! 

 

My name is Leanne and I am from San Angelo, TX. I moved to Austin in 2016 and earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UT. 

 

I love living in Austin, and I also love traveling and learning about other countries. I was lucky enough to be able to move to Vienna, Austria and live there with my husband from 2022-2025. I took German classes, worked as a nanny, and did an internship at a local preschool. It’s my absolute favorite place I’ve ever lived and I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Vienna if you ever have the chance!

 

Now we’re back in Austin and I’m so excited to have joined the Athena community! I have about five years of childcare experience, including working at Montessori schools, traditional preschools, and as a nanny. I keep coming back to Montessori because I really believe it’s the best approach to childcare, and it aligns with my personal views on how children should be treated. Most of my experience is working with children ages zero to two years old, but I love supporting and guiding children of all ages.

 

In my free time I enjoy musical theatre, making art, lifting weights, and spending time with my two cats!
