Izzy Christie (They/Them)

My name is Izzy! This will be my first year as a guide here at Athena, and I could not be more excited. I have worked with children in multiple settings, previously as a preschool teacher, swim teacher, summer camp leader, and babysitter. 

I love working with children and am very excited to learn about the Montessori method and get to know all the students as a Floater. I fell in love with the warm community and the welcoming environment as soon as I stepped foot onto Athena’s campus.

Outside of the classroom my favorite activities are going to the movies with my partner, playing video games, reading any genre of book, crocheting or sewing, playing DnD, and playing board games with my friends and family. I also love to travel, especially anywhere with a beach, natural body of water, or an aquarium. 

I am so grateful to be a part of Athena's team and I cannot wait to meet the families, and grow and learn with your children every day! If you see me around campus, please stop and say hi!
