Angie Arriaga (She/Her)

Hi Athena Families!

My name is Angelina, but feel free to call me Angie. I am so excited to be joining the Athena community and look forward to meeting you all! 

I was born and have been raised in Austin all my life. My passion for working with children started when I was a kid myself through babysitting and nannying my siblings and cousins. 

This will be my first time working in a Montessori school and I am thrilled, to say the least! 

I am part of a non-profit organization, HUBConnect.org, located in southeast Austin where we aim to engage, equip, and empower our local community. Together we connect resources to people and people to resources. In 2023 I went on my first mission trip to Panama City, Panama, where we visited schools and shared ministry with underprivileged youth. In 2024 we served at a summer camp in Cork, Ireland. This trip sealed the deal for me pursuing a career in childcare. As soon as I returned, I began working for a teacher-subbing company. A few months later, I landed here at Athena! In June our team is headed to Alicante, Spain to engage in prayer walks for the city, outreach with the local church, and service projects with other organizations like One Hope and Project Rescue.

In my spare time you can find me jumping in Barton Springs, the San Marcos River, or any body of water there is! I enjoy being outdoors. Above all, what truly brings me the most joy is spending time with my family. The laughter, the shared experiences, and the deep connections we have with one another create a sense of warmth and fulfillment that I can't find anywhere else.
