Hi Athena Families, 

I began my journey at Athena in the summer of 2020 and am so excited to now be entering my third year as the Tots 3 Lead Guide. I deeply admire the love and dedication shared among the staff, all centered around giving our students the highest quality Montessori experience possible. It has been a joy to build meaningful relationships with the children and to celebrate both their big and small milestones. Their joy is contagious, and I come in every morning genuinely excited to share the day with them.

Before becoming a Tots Lead Guide, I served as a Tots Assistant Guide, Support Guide, and Lead Guide for the After School Program here at Athena. This will be my third year leading, and I cannot wait to continue learning and growing alongside your children. I’m currently pursuing my Montessori certification through The Center for Guided Montessori Studies, and I’m eager to bring what I’m learning into our classroom. Supporting children during this important stage of development has always been a passion of mine, and I now feel more equipped than ever to do so with intention and care.

From a young age, I was the designated “built-in babysitter” for my large family. I’ve always felt at home in the presence of children. They teach me so much about joy, resilience, and living in the moment. I’ve also had the opportunity to travel and teach English in Zambia, Thailand, and Cambodia—experiences that nurtured my passion for celebrating differences and embracing each person’s unique story. No matter where I’ve been in the world, I’ve always been drawn to children and the lessons they offer us.

Before joining Athena, I worked in after-school care at Mathews Elementary and on the crisis hotline at S.A.F.E. Austin. I was born and raised in Austin and love exploring our ever-changing city. In my free time, I’m a Ballet Folklorico instructor in East Austin, I enjoy roller skating downtown, and running along the trails.

It is an honor to be part of this community and to walk alongside your children in their growth and discovery.
