Hi, Athena Community!
Over the past year and a half, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Athena and the Montessori philosophy. It truly feels like such a gift to care for, love, and guide these children.
Before Athena, I grew up in Miami, Florida, graduated from FIU, and then moved to Austin, Texas to begin my teaching career. Over the past few years in Austin, I’ve taught middle school English Language Arts, become a birth doula, and later a postpartum doula.
Once I started at Athena, I quickly realized I had found my home. I find toddlers, and all children, to be incredibly inspiring, and I’m constantly in awe of how much I learn simply by being around them.
I’m so grateful to spend another trip around the sun at Athena and to continue growing alongside my colleagues and all of the little ones.
When I’m not at Athena, you can usually find me supporting a postpartum client, attending a yoga class, or soaking up the sun on Lake Austin with my partner.
