Joy Jacobson (She/Her)

Hello! 

My name is Joy, and I am Athena's Director of Admissions & Financial Operations. I love meeting new families and serving as a resource for all things Athena--from initial inquiry to graduation.

I grew up in a farming family in North Dakota, graduated from The University of North Dakota, and spent several years working in the nonprofit space in Minneapolis, Minnesota before landing in Austin and at Athena in 2019.

Athena has been a source of so much love, laughter, and growth (both personal and professional) in my life, and I look forward to welcoming many of you into this very special community. 

When I'm not at Athena, I enjoy exploring our city's live music and restaurant scenes, running (most days, anyway), yoga, cooking, and spending time outside or curled up on the couch with a good book and my dog, Birdie.
