Kiki Grimes (She/Her)

Greetings, Athena Community!

I'm Katriana, but you can call me Kiki. As a proud Austin native, I'm thrilled to join this wonderful community of educators and families. I can't wait to connect with each and every one of you.

My journey began in Austin, where I graduated from Cedar Creek High School in 2016. Following graduation, I embarked on a fulfilling adventure as a live-in nanny amidst the breathtaking mountains of Colorado. Working at various summer camps during this time deeply influenced my teaching style, emphasizing the importance of integrating nature into daily activities with young learners. As a true outdoor enthusiast, you'll often find me starting my mornings with a meditative walk and maximizing outdoor time whenever possible. Camping, fishing, boating, and spending quality moments with my two orange tabby cats are among my favorite pastimes.

In April 2024, I earned my Childhood Development Associates Credential, and I'm currently pursuing further studies in childhood development at ACC. A few months later, I began working at Athena. I'm immensely proud to be part of this community and eagerly anticipate an incredible 2025-2026 school year ahead!
