Peyton Dame (She/Her)

Hello Athena Families,

 

I am delighted to introduce myself as the Compliance Director and Support Team Coordinator!

It is my sole responsibility to collaborate with all of our lovely staff members at Athena to ensure we are creating a safe and healthy environment for your children each day. I also work closely with our Support Guides and oversee the After School Program. 

I began working with children when assisting my mom in volunteer work that she organized with Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children. We spent the summers teaching children who have disabilities and/or encountered hardships how to scuba dive! I took my first step into early childhood education at age 16 when I worked part-time at a family friend's preschool and, for over ten years now, have studied and learned of my passion for working and growing the minds of young children.

While working as Director for a local early childhood education center, I wondered if the stimulation of those populated classrooms were the best choice for myself and my family, so I began my search and found Athena. I admire the values of Montessori as well as the respect I view each teacher and staff member give to the children and their families here at Athena. I look forward to seeing the long-term impression it makes on my daughter – who is a proud Athena graduate! – and I am excited to continue to learn and grow with all of you!
