Marta Trujillo (She/Her)

Tots 4 Lead Guide
Dear Athena Families,

My name is Marta Trujillo. I am so excited to join Athena Montessori and begin my journey as the new Tots 4 Lead Guide. In 2012, I came from Hungary to California. I worked at Diablo Valley Montessori School in Lafayette, California from 2014 until 2024. I started as a Montessori teacher’s assistant and soon became a Lead Guide in the toddler room. In January of 2024 my husband and I moved to Texas to be close to our family, ready for a new beginning!

My dream as a little girl was always to work with children, and I started my career right after high school. For 25 years, I had the pleasure of being a teacher for children with severe to moderate disabilities. Working with children with special needs was incredibly rewarding. It taught me valuable lessons about patience, understanding, and the diverse ways individuals learn and interact. I earned my BA at Apor Vilmos Catholic College, Hungary, as a Nursery Teacher, and my BS at Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest Hungary, as a Special Needs Teacher in the field of Intellectual Disabilities.

I received my Montessori Infant & Toddler Credential in 2018 and my Montessori Early Childhood Credential in 2020 at the Montessori Teacher Education Center in San Francisco. I’m very passionate about helping children learn and grow by exploring nature and the community around them. I have always believed that children learn best when the learning environment is designed to meet the developmental needs of each child and one that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.

I am beyond grateful to be a part of your child’s learning journey and look forward to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for them to thrive in.

In my free time I love reading, working on diamond art, gardening, travelling, and enjoy exploring the outdoors with my husband and family.

With warmest regards,
Marta Trujillo
