Kimby Ramsey (She/Her)

Hi Athena families,

 

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013. I moved to Austin in 2018. 

 

Fun fact about me: as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in competitive sports. I’ve tried many sports but gymnastics has always been my favorite. I was a competitive gymnast for seven years and loved every minute of it. My first job during and after college was coaching gymnastics and I even still sometimes provide private lessons to families in the Austin area. As a coach, I discovered my passion for teaching and mentoring young minds. It’s an incredible feeling to watch the students grow and become more confident in their skills.

 

In my spare time, I love hanging out with my fluffy pup, Maple; paddle boarding with my husband; or doing some kind of art project. 

 

I look forward to meeting everyone and working with the students here at Athena!
