Dear families,

I'm delighted to be part of the Athena community. From the first time I set foot onto the campus of Athena Montessori, I felt this was the place I wanted to be. The classroom energy and harmony fascinated me, and I am now captivated by the Montessori philosophy and can't wait to learn more about it.

I grew up on an island in southern Chile where I spent my childhood years exploring forests, mountains, and volcanoes with my scout club. Later in my college years I volunteered with my scout group to organize programs for children from economically disadvantaged families. I graduated 2009 as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in Chile and worked in elementary and high schools for some time. But it wasn't until my experience as an Au Pair in Virginia that I discovered my passion for working with young children.

Later I had the opportunity to move to Europe. In Spain I spent my time perfecting my long time passion, Flamenco, and in Germany I studied the language and culture. I recently moved back to the US and found the perfect chance to get back on track with teaching, but this time with young children.

I'm so grateful to have found the Athena family and be part of it. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your wonderful children.
