Claudia (Cici) Estefania Baca Pinedo (She/Her)

Hello families,

My name is Claudia, but I go by “Cici”, and I am very excited to be part of this community!

I was born and raised in Peru where I lived with my mom, my dad, and my brother. I moved to the States in 2017 as an exchange student trying to explore American culture and practice my English. I decided to start this new adventure leaving my family and friends back home, and it’s been challenging but rewarding at the same time. 

I have a bachelor’s in business administration but since I started working with children here in the States my life has completely changed. I wanted to pursue my education and goals related to children, so I started to study Childcare and Development in 2020. I graduated from Austin Community College in December of 2022, but I want to extend my education and get my bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education. My first language is Spanish, and I would love to help bilingual children and families on their journey. 

I will start my Masters in Early Childhood and I would love to minor in Nutrition because I am passionate about food in general especially related with children. 

Shortly after I came to the States, I met and lived with a family that showed me that love is thicker than blood. They became my family here and I could not be more grateful!

I met my husband in 2019 and got married in 2021 and I couldn’t be happier about it. My husband and I love to run. We run half marathons and other races together, which is something that I love to do. We wake up early to run and train. We have a dog, his name is Stanley, and he is the sweetest little dog that you will ever see! I love going to the beach because I grew up by one and that is my happy place (besides Disney). I love to swim, go to the gym, and eat (especially Tiff’s Treats and Jet’s Pizza).

Being part of children’s lives fills my heart with love and the thought of making an impact on their lives makes me so honored. I am so excited to start this journey in such a wonderful place!
