Denisse Alvarado (She/Her)

Hello families,

My name is Denisse Alvarado.

 

I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and raised in Austin, Texas. After graduating high school, I had a very difficult time trying to decide what I wanted to pursue. I’ve worked at many different places but none of them felt right. I struggled a lot with figuring out what to do until I applied to become a substitute teacher. Since then, I’ve known that working with children is what I want to do. No other job that I’ve had has given me the happiness that I feel when I’m helping, guiding, and taking care of children. 

I’m incredibly excited to begin my second year with Athena.
